Exclusions

The guarantee specifically excludes the following: broken containers, covers, or terminals; if battery has been frozen or damaged due to neglect or abuse including sulfation, fire, wreckage, explosion, or excessive heat; if container is bulged or labels are melted; if damaged from faulty power supply systems, if electrolyte other that as recommended by the factory has been used; if the manufacturer's code markings have been destroyed; if a battery is used in applications for which it was not designed; batteries installed or charged in reverse; the cost of transportation, service calls, rented batteries or recharging.

Modification

Certain power supplies abuse batteries excessively because they do not compensate the charging voltage for changes in temperature. In situations with unreliable charging voltage regulation, the standard warranty period does not apply. One half the standard warranty period is recommended unless the power supply is so unreliable that the guarantee must be determined on an individual basis. If the seller is not made aware of critical power supply information or past experience with other batteries, the warranty period may be revised.
